Questions
Ahwatukee electrical questions
Utility, permits, estimates and pricing: straight answers before you call.
Who provides electric service in Ahwatukee?
Ahwatukee is in SRP’s electric service area. For a panel upgrade, SRP’s service specifications say to contact both SRP and the permitting authority first, and SRP reconnects power once both approve the work.
Who issues electrical permits in Ahwatukee?
Ahwatukee Foothills is one of the City of Phoenix’s 15 urban villages, so residential electrical permits come from the City of Phoenix Planning and Development Department (PDD). Under the Planning and Development Department’s EV charger guidance, a home charger can be reviewed and permitted over the counter when the existing electrical service is 200 amps single-phase or less and does not need an upgrade; a charger that requires upgrading the service beyond 200 amps single-phase goes to formal plan review.
Do I need a permit for electrical work in Arizona?
Permits are required for all major electrical work. At The Wire Guy Electric, we can handle the entire permitting process for you. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection, and make sure everything passes.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Contact us today to get a free quote. We'll come out, look at the job, and give you a straight answer on what it'll cost. No pressure and no obligation.
Do you have any hidden fees?
No. What you see on the invoice is what you get. If any changes are made to your project, we will update it promptly and send it over for you to review.
